Sinopsis: The film follows the character of the girl Nada from her birth to adulthood, and shows Herzegovina from 1907 to 1922. Years that were difficult, especially too difficult for today’s understanding. Nada meets Fr. Didak Buntić (Franciscan), who follows his contribution to Herzegovina from literacy, building the Širokobrije basilica, grafting fruit trees (grafting our karst into something tame) and saving Herzegovina’s children from hunger. Scenes of the difficult and cruel times before and during the First World War and the inevitable years of famine, which enveloped our people in black, were shown. Salvation is found by Fr. Didak Buntić who, as the Herzegovina’s Moses, takes over 17,000 children of all religions out of Herzegovina to Slavonia as the promised land of salvation for our children. In addition, we want to give an important importance in the film to the family, and especially to the mother(s) of Herzegovina, who are indispensable at that time, left alone without men in the family, sacrificing themselves to save their children.
